The bridge is one of the vital links in the realm of land transportation to connect access roads, the majority of which are crossed by both primary and secondary river flows. Banten Province has dozens of bridges that cross the river. These bridges serve as a link between regions that are on the national line. In order for a bridge to have a service life in accordance with its design, it must be consistently maintained and maintained for road / bridge infrastructure to function optimally, safely, comfortably, and smoothly with a maximum / long service period, and must continue to be able to improve services to road / bridge users. Maintenance is a handling activity in the form of maintenance, rehabilitation, supplementation and improvement in order to obtain a more stable and longer service capability. Maintenance activities will be able to run properly and optimally if supported by complete, accurate and actual data about the condition of the operated bridge.
Periodic checks on the bridge must be carried out for 5 years after the bridge is operated. It is necessary to know the actual condition of the bridge after its useful life and as an initial reference data for subsequent periodic checks. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct an assessment, Non Destructive Test (NDT) and Destructive Test (DT) and Loading Test as Bridge Initial Data. Therefore, to determine the ability of the remaining structure in the field, PT Graha Survey Indonesia was assigned to determine the condition of the existing 2 bridges located in Banten Province, namely Ciujung Baru Bridge and Karundang 2 Bridge (Ciawi), as well as evaluating the area by conducting assessment and testing so that they can provide recommendations for proper handling.
The purpose of this inspection is to identify the actual condition of the bridge structure. While the purpose of this activity is to get a picture of the actual condition of the structural capacity in the field.
The objectives of this activity are:
- Obtain information on the condition of bridge elements by conducting special checks,
- Conduct evaluation of conditions from the results of special inspections and loading tests,
- Suggestions based on the results of special checks and loading tests.
